How to Store Batteries Long Term (or, should/could I make a larger battery bank)?

I'm sure given enough time I'd be able to find and learn how to wire a dual bank, but since I've got some expert's ears now, would someone have the time to draw me a wiring diagram? Would both banks charge at the same time when I have the generator going, and at the same time have one bank...

How to Store Batteries Long Term (or, should/could I make a larger battery bank)?

Yep, I got it backward in my head. When adding batteries of dissimilar Ah, do all batteries keep their initial Ah, or do they all revert to the lowest of the batch? Also, while I'm not sure if linking to another site's forum is allowed (and if not, I'll remove this), I posted basically the...

How to Store Batteries Long Term (or, should/could I make a larger battery bank)?

Off grid. All we use is for LED camper lights, a Surflo water pump, an inverter for a phone and router, and the spark to start our propane fridge and water heater. No TV, no foot massagers, no disco balls :) Just to make sure I got this right, our current setup has four 6V batteries, wired in...

How to Store Batteries Long Term (or, should/could I make a larger battery bank)?

So, with the batteries being the same in all ways, as far as any Interstate site documentation claims, except for the Ah, could they be used together in the same bank? Should they? If so, should I assume that I would be getting the lesser Ah across all of them?

How to Store Batteries Long Term (or, should/could I make a larger battery bank)?

Also not sure, if I decide to sell them, how to explain that contrary to the "Extreme" label (that was switched) they are perfectly good "Heavy Duty" batteries.

How to Store Batteries Long Term (or, should/could I make a larger battery bank)?

The "Extreme" are rated as 225 Amp Hours (AH)@20 Hr. "Heavy Duty" are rated as 210 Amp Hours (AH)@20 Hr. As an aside, what does the "@20 Hr" part of the rating mean? I copied and pasted the rating from their site.

How to Store Batteries Long Term (or, should/could I make a larger battery bank)?

Hope this is a good place to post this. I got a windfall today, and am not sure what to do with it... A few weeks ago I bought 4 Interstate "Extreme" 6V batteries. What were delivered to the authorized dealer were 4 Interstate "Heavy Duty" 6V batteries. No big deal. A week later they call...

    Replacement Toilet Suggestions

When I sit, I tend to pee before I pinch a loaf. That tends to raise the water level. A lot. Doing calisthenics while using the loo wouldn't be so bad if I only had to deal with it a couple weeks out of the year. But we live in this small box, full time, year round. And will for the rest of our...

    Replacement Toilet Suggestions

Not looking for something super deep; just deep enough to not have to wash my bits after using. At 19" from front to back, the 310 would be a tight fit. Any chance you'd be willing to measure the bowl depth for me? If so, lay a straight-edge across the seat (not rim) and measure down from...

    Replacement Toilet Suggestions

We have the Thetford they put in at the factory, which leaves much to be desired. I got to replace it. The main problem is my danglies dipping in the water... while sitting, of course. The bowl is too shallow. My wish list is for something no longer, from back to front, than 18" (we have a...

    Shurflo 2088 404 144 Adjustment

I understand how this works when used to even out pressure spikes. But would it work reducing the noise from the pump. Our pump has a half coil of Camco water hose coming from the tank to the pump, and the same from the pump to the pex lines in the house, but is still loud. If it would reduce...

    Shurflo 2088 404 144 Adjustment

I'm really not trying to get more pressure, or more water. Or less of either for that matter. My only concern right now is the pump motor; if it over heats, draws too much of the limited power from our batteries (running constantly), or even up and dies. We cannot afford to buy another pump.

This kinda gets back to the first part of what I originally posted. Which direction do I turn the screw?
