Hi there! Looking for some help on getting the hot water heater going. We have the switch by the stove and sink. We light the pilot outside and clicks off. We have someone here who has had several campers and he can't seem to figure it out either... any suggestions in what we're doing wrong or what we should be doing, bcuz it did work when we first got it, now that were living in it we can't get it to work?!?!?! Thanks!

They said that's not it, it lights and turns off. It was working and now it wont, we have someone here helping thts had several campers and he said there should be another switch besides the one by the stove and sink. They're by the outside pilot now, maybe the igniter isn't lighting...?!?!

Knowing the make and model of the water heater would help here. Help us to help you!!! It sounds like a pilot light type from your description but for a 2006 year unit, that might not be accurate.

All I know is it is 2006 coachman and its a hot water heater not electric... ran by propane and power?!?!

Go outside and open the access door. In there you'll find the name and model number.

Owners manuals online

Is this the switch by the sink/stove?

First thing I'd do is check the gas supply tube before and after the igniter for the presence of critters... or the remains of them.

Usually the problem when unit starts then promptly goes out...
