Just signed on! We just purchased a gently used 2009 Fleetwood Coleman Westlake pop up. While figuring out the ins and outs recently, we were draining the freshwater tank and noticed the wiring on the curbside underneath has been installed between the flooring and the frame. There are quite a few wires that appear to be factory installed.
My question is this...Wouldn't this cause wear to the insulation causing a short and possible fire as time goes on? Pr is that just how they do it? Thanks in advance!

Hard to say without seeing it, but wear generally requires either movement or continuous pressure. Do either of those things apply there?  RV makers have been known to do some really dumb things, sometimes by design and sometimes just cause an asesmbly worker got lazy or in a hurry.

What sort of wires? 12v stuff or the 120v shore power hook-up?  12v is a lot less dangerous even if it does short out. Not zero danger, but less than 120v.
