Furrion wireless observation/backup camera
« on: November 12, 2016, 10:07:47 AM »
Hi folks,

When I got my rig the black and white camera was faulty, the dealer replaced in with a Furion system as part of the deal.

The camera is wired to the lights so I can use it going down the road (this works fairly well).

I was not aware at the time that Furrion sell a observation/backup model and backup only.

From looking on the website the backup model does not have an aerial on the monitor (mine does).

I called the dealer and they said they normally only stock the backup only model.

Has anyone seen both models and confirm if it's the observation monitor only that has an aerial.

I wired the hot line to a circuit that's on when the ignition switch is in either the "Acc" or "On" positions, and the reverse trigger to the backup light circuit. My monitor has an On/Off switch, and even when it's switched off, the reverse line will turn it on when activated.

Thanks Lucy,

Mine is wired to the lights also.

I called Furrion and from the part number they identified it as the Observation model.
