yet another dehumidifer recall
« on: December 05, 2016, 12:24:05 PM »
I received another notice from CPSC today about another dehumidifier recall:

https://www.cpsc.gov/Recalls/2017/Gree-Reannounces-Dehumidifier-Recall-Following-450-Fires-and-19-Million-in-Property-Damage

I'm almost thinking no one markets a dehumidifer that doesn't catch fire.
I know you believe you understand what you think I said,
But I am not sure you realize what you heard is not what I meant

This is an update of a 2013 recall notice involving dehumidifiers made in China sold under multiple brand labels.  If you don't read the fine print and understand that these were all made by the same company you could think there was something unsafe about dehumidifiers in general.
