As I look out of our patio door/windows, I see a picture not seen for several years; I'm "looking up" at our boat! The recent California rains, early snow melt, and lake releases, coupled with normal "high" spring tides, mean that we have unusually high water in our back yard. Ramps to our and neighbors' boat docks are inverted (you walk up, instead of down the ramps).
A neighbor across our bay is in danger of running out of dock pilings. These are 40 foot pilings, and he has less than a couple of feet left.
