So, retired and looking for an inexpensive rig and came across a Ford 450/Tioga 28R, with 6000 miles on the odometer, asking $20K. Not knowing a lot about RV's, I'm wondering if, price aside, a 13 year old rig, even if lightly used, is a potential money pit and therefore almost any price is too much. I have no idea how these things age when sitting around. This one has been sitting in a storage in Vancouver WA, and I am looking for  advice from someone far wiser than I am. Was this,in general, a good/mediocre/bad year for Tiogas?

Please accept my gratitude in advance for anyone who is willing to take the time to get me "knowed up"
Cheers,
Ray

Welcome to the RV Forum!

If you can go look it over, look in the library section here and take a checklist with you.

Even a brand new rig can be a money pit. The used ones depend on the condition they are in. That depends on how well the owners did maintenance.

I have an 18 year old class C. Not expensive so far (knock on wood).
