I have found when looking for mine, most people trade or sell the vehicles with the base plates and wiring still on the vehicle. Cost to remove is break even with profit to be made selling it. Good luck.

Try Ebay I lucked out and got a new base plate for our Dakota. It had been mounted but never used , and saved about $200.
