We just bought a new 2017 Montana 3720 5th wheel, and both slides keep inching out while traveling..... about 4 -6" out at the bottom!  Not sure how far they would come out, because we stop and push the button on the smart box to bring them in.  Called the dealer we purchased it from, and they advised us to turn off the knobs on the exterior while traveling, but after doing that, the door-side slide stayed in, but the off door-side slide inched out even further than before.  We're traveling thru FL, and Keystone dealer's are too busy to get an appointment for weeks.  Does anyone have advice on this?  it's a safety hazard!

Any idea if the hydraulic pump is running?
If it is you could remove the fuse or shutoff your battery disconnect.

Slipping Slides:
We had a 2010 Montana and that happened on the one large slide. On the drivers side at front there was the control door and  I can't remember exactly what all was in there but I think front electric jack and rear stabilizer and four hydraulic shut off valves.
After your finished closing up close those valves and don't forget to open when you set up again.

Some RVs have removable slide braces that are placed between the slide lip and the inside wall of the RV after retracting the slide to guard against the slide coming out while travelling.

You could do the same by cutting a 2x4 to fit and putting it in place after you retract the slide.  This will stop the slide from extending while underway until you can get it fixed.

Slides that use an electric motor have a brake band that locks the slide in place whenever power to the motor is turned off.  Do hydraulic slides have something similar or do they rely on perfect hydraulic sealing to keep the slide retracted?

When we had our 5th wheel, we had a locking bar that we put between the wall and the lip on the slide which kept the slide from moving, if you decide to go th 2x4 or the commercially available way, do not forget they are there when you go to put the slide out. look here http://www.camperpartsworld.com/slide-out-lock.html
