Travelling from Denver to Augusta, GA in April.  Would like to complete 2nd day on the road somewhere East of St. Louis. (within an hour east).  This would be an overnight stop.  So far can only find 2 1/2 star or less in industrial areas with noise. Bad neighborhoods or tiny sites.  Pulling 40ft 5th wheel...  This is only an overnight stop. Looking for suggestions.  Going on to Bowling Green, KY the next day.

I see in your signature that you are Navy Vet. Are you retired or disabled?

If so you may be eligible for military FamCamps.

They have a very nice one at Scott AFB which is east of St. Louis.

The www.militarycampgrounds.us is an excellent site. We used it extensively when we were traveling.
