I am looking for an RV park that is convenient so I can tour the Washington D.C. area this coming July.  I could only find two on-line but I am sure there are several more in that area.  Any recommendations?

Cherry Hill is the closest.  I am not familiar with any other that are "close".  How do you plan to get around?  Cherry Hill advertises bus stops on site.

Greenbelt Natioal Park is the cheapest and 12 miles from the  capital building.

Be sure to see the Holocaust Memorial.

We stayed there about a week. Took a Gray Line two day tour of Washington. The bus comes right to the campground.

Parking in downtown Washington can be a challenge so bus tours and public transportation works better.

Pohick Bay in Lorton, VA is a less expensive alternative to Cherryhill. Close to a Metro Station.

I camped at Greenbelt last year. $16 a night, no water or electric at the site. You can fill your fresh water tank at the park. Restrooms and showers are ok.

Greenbelt Metro station is a short drive away. $5.10 a day parking, and approx $7 per person round trip to the National Mall in D.C.
