Reno, NV RV parks

The friendliest place on the web for anyone with an RV or an interest in RVing!

Look at Sparks NV too.
It's about 10-15 miles from Reno and may be less expense.

Sorry I can't recommend any RV parks because When I lived there I wasn't in to RV'ing yet so I didn't look into parks.

Pyramid Lake is an attraction many people like to see.
International? Bowling is in Reno.
Lots of places just outside of town to shoot guns etc if your into that.
Lots of trails outside of town to ride dirt/trail bikes if your into that.
Lake Tahoe is not too far - they also have shows/plays during the summer.

Of course there are a lot of shows/singers etc that come to Reno on a regular basis.

We stayed at River's Edge, a beautiful spot with a walking trail beside the river. The only downside was the location right under the final approach for the airport, we could count the aircraft rivets. Fortunately the runway was not used for takeoffs and there were no night flights.
It was my first trip to Reno in 2010 and I was a little disappointed. Other than the casinos there was not much to do in town, even the shopping center was gone. Harrah's museum is a must see if you are into cars, be prepared to spend a full day. Virginia City is worth a visit, I half expected to see the Cartwright boys, as is Lake Tahoe. We returned from Lake Tahoe via highway 89 over Mt Rose, I was really glad we weren't pulling the trailer. That is one steep mother.

Sparks has the Sparks Marina RV Park.  Easy access, nice grounds with all paved roads and sites, good walking around the marina, shopping nearby, but it may be on the pricey side for some.  The Grand Sierra Resort (old Hilton) has a campground that is or was a KOA.  Not fancy but right on the SGR grounds with a central location at I-80 and US 395.

Carson City is the state capitol.  Virginia City was a famous mining town.  Nevada State Railroad Museum.  Lake Tahoe and along the Truckee River.
