2000 Suncruiser - basement air won't work after gen set repair

I am hoping someone may have a quick answer to my question on the basement air ..

We just purchased a 2000 Suncruiser - They have had it for 2 weeks trying to get the Gen running and we got it back this last weekend. We turn the gen on and the air worked for about 10 mins - The gen made 2 funny noises (like it was going to die) and then no AC. Wont come on at all.

Anyone know what that may be? I am guessing they did something wrong to the gen

This may or may not apply. I recently spent ga-boodles of money to get my old genset to start. When is STILL wouldn't work, I took it back. Seems it was missing a ground wire? Now it works peachy.
