being new to this group and new to travel trailing- I have realized there is a wealth of knowledge in this forum.
here is my question- we have a 2016 Heartland North trail 26RSS, 30.17'long, GVWR 8600, Dry wt 5695 and hitch wt 572. I have equalizer hitch and electric jack winch.
to tow I am looking at a 2007 F250 power stroke turbo diesel V8, 6.0L with 104Kmiles on it. GVWR on truck door label has 9800, and yellow sticker has combined wt at 2823lbs.
Truck history from Carfax is light on service records on truck, but looks very clean 1-owner.
this should be enough truck to pull from TX to WA state thru Western mountains, right?
Thanks in advance.

That truck should do a good job.  I would be concerned with a ? ton, but this is a ? ton.

Simple calculation:  Will the total weight of passengers, cargo, WD hitch and hitch weight (900#) be less than Yellow Label of 2800#?  Unless you have a BIG ATV in the truck bed, the answer is likely yes.

Thanks for asking!
