So I've been looking to purchase a used TT and came across a really clean Jayco Jay flight 26B. It's a 2016 and looks brand spankin new. Anyway I decided to google it and a bunch of YouTube videos like this one showed up.

I know you get the occasional lemon with anything manufactured but this scared me. At least I know what to look for now If I go see the used Jay flight. I read a couple of the comments under the video and saw someone post about Grand designs and KZ TT's. I had never heard of them before, but Wow was I blown away at their designs and what appears to be good craftsmanship. Does anybody own either a GD 2150rb or 2400bh? Or a KZ connect c231bh. I did find some used GD's but found no used kz's across a few sites.

Here is the Jay I was looking at . I mean how can you beat this value?

But I'm totally blown away by the GD

Decisions decisions!!

And twice the money. Is this your first RV? If it is, I would highly recommend you buy used for at least the first RV.. You take such a hit on depreciation as soon as you tow it off the lot. Even something 4 or 5 years old. There are lots of them out there. Many people buy new for the first time thinking it will be perfect for them when it's not or they just don't enjoying RV'ing. Think about it.

Yes 1st and yes def buying used. What's the point of buying new if you can't even get warranty work done??

I also think it's wise to buy slightly used. We could afford to buy new, but for all the reasons mentioned, we've always bought motorhomes that were 1 to 2 years old, and it has worked out well - very few problems. I'm sure there are lots of folks who've bought new, who had good experiences, but our friends just had their brand new motorhome bought back by the manufacturer, because it had more major and minor problems that you could imagine.

The quality control (or lack thereof) issues with RVs have been around for years. It has a lot to do with the way they're manufactured. Manufacturers just push them out their doors with the expectation that dealers will fix the problems. Dealers, however, don't always have maintenance techs that can fix them, and they've got a mile long line of broken RVs and unhappy customers. Round and round we go.

I found this which might be perfect for our first TT purchase. Only problem it's located 13 hrs away.
