hey rv forum. I hope someone can help me.
This problem relates to the coach batteries.
I had my converter replaced in september 2016. In the last week or so I noticed the fan in the converter stopped working. A few days later I started getting dim lights and batteries were getting weak. Because the batteries were already 4 years old I replaced them with matching deep cell marine batteries. The lights came back up but not for long.
I have carefully cleaned all battery connections and made sure they are tight and correctly hooked up.
the next thing I did was take out my trusty multi meter. Batteries read around 12.6 volts.
When I check the wire coming out of the converter it reads 13.3 when it is not connected. As soon as I connect it to the fuse block the voltage drops to 11.5. I just charged the batteries with a separate charger and still nothing works.
What should the converter put out? Is this my problem?
