Slideout stabilizers...Necessary?

The friendliest place on the web for anyone with an RV or an interest in RVing!
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
Only if the slideout wasn't designed properly in the first place, or you have overloaded it.

To take what NED said one step further

Let us assume you put in a slide out stablizer,  Basically  a jack that goes between your extended slide out and the ground.

Heaven forbid the motor home "Settle" due to a jack being on soft ground, or blow a hydraulic line, or you retract the jacks w/o retracting the slide............... OUCH as the slide out is torqued the way it's not designed to torque.
