Cruise control switch

Anyone removed either or both cruise control switches on the steering wheel?  My right-hand "Resume" function has never worked and I've decided after 6 years I'd quite like it to. I'm hoping it'll be a bad connection which will save me $100. Just wondered if anyone else has had similar issues.

I have written Winnebago several times and always received a straight up answer on my 1999 Adventurer. I bet they can point you in the right direction. Winnebago also has very good documentation on their website. The schematics are top notch. I know you have a Ford, but Freightliner  and Cummins have answered many questions as well. All three of them surprised me on a coach as old as mine! Good luck.
