I'm looking for recommendations for a cover to stop UV damage when my Starcraft 17SB is not in use.  I don't intend to use it much during the summer, and I know the UV will damage it in a few years.  Most of the things I've read say that the UV will kill the cover in 1 to 2 years.  I'm in Louisiana, so there's lots of rain to contend with also.

Any recommendations?

I'm curious too, as we're thinking of getting a cover for our new to us trailer when not in use.  We live in an extremely hot climate where we have two seasons - hot and hotter, so we want to be sure that the sun isn't going to do long term damage.

With a cover you are trading one type of damage for another. Wind will rub the cover against the RV. Abrasion damage over time is just as unsightly as UV damage.

The only way to truly protect your RV is with a roof and walls, "car port" type or complete garage. And then you have to worry about birds nesting overhead. :(
