We have a old Black and Decker countertop toaster oven. It's on it's last leg so we'll be looking for a new one soon. Any recommendations?  We like the old one because it's small in fact with the proper brackets, we could hane mounted it under the cabinets.  We don't need one with a rotisserie.  Just something to toast things.

I've been researching the same issue the past couple of weeks. I've about decided on this one:

Elite Maxi-Matic. $40
14.7" X 9" X 8.1"
1200 W

We had a B&D for at least a hundred years and replaced it 5 months ago,,,another later model B&D that the wife loves.>>>Dan

No. Same company but the one I found was smaller. I found it on the company's web site. I then searched for reviews on other sites and they were better than the 15 on the Amazon site that you found. It was the smallest one I could find that didn't have terrible reviews.

Rene, you said yours is old.
This old?

looks pretty close to that one.  This is the one we have now:

I didn't see the best reviews.

I have this one and i love it!  Cuisinart.

I know you said small but we got this one on a recommendation from one of the forum members.  We especially like the convection feature since cooking in a small oven like this it helps cook evenly. It has been great and with a 20% coupon the price comes more in line with others

Nothing wrong with a Black and Decker, but I have an Aroma..

THe one I have is larger, I use it as my primary oven in facrt. HOlds a full size loaf pan. or a medium size chicken, it is a rotisserie oven

Does toast better than any toaster oven I've ever used.  Has a "Griddle top" (which I do not use) multi-level racks and more

Checked the company web site, don't see the type of oven I have listed any more,.

I've seen several that brag they can hold a 12" Pizza.

We bought a KitchenAid KCO253BM about 6 weeks ago really like it. Has some great features. 1450 watts, 12.1 amps full on.

Yes, that one. The reviews weren't great but I discovered that reviews are generally always bad for the small ovens. People want them small on the outside and large on the inside. None of them I saw were really built robustly but I wanted small. I can live with a "cheap" oven, especially when it's only $40. ?

Yup. I have this one and it does a great job, but it isn't small.

I'm leaning towards getting one of these. It's a little bit bigger than my B&D. What I like about it is that it cooks with 1800 watts. Much higher wattage a than any other.  Looking at the TOB-40.

My only negative on it would be that I can't use it with the inverter. I have to be hooked to shore power or have the generator on. While on the road, I like to have a toasted sandwich for lunch.

I had decided that I relied way too much on my microwave to fix frozen meals for me to eat and had almost totally quit cooking. My micorwave broke and instead of replacing it I opted to try a Toaster-Oven combination and eat real food. I am 71 years old and good nutrition and good habits are very important. This was a great decision. The oven is everything I was hoping for and more. The regular oven in my apt is very old and to even pre heat warmed my entire apt. Not so with this oven. Pre heats quickly and no heat escapes. I am very happy with this appliance.

We have a Breville Toaster oven. It has worked great for us for many years. We just replaced out microwave with a Breville model. We like the ergonomics they have.
