Mostly just take your time and ask lots of questions. When the guy demonstrates something, do the same action yourself so you can be sure you got the method locked in your brain. You will forget a lot otherwise. And having somebody video it is a good idea too, IF you will actually review the video afterwards.
The walkthru guy will probably be in a hurry, but make him slwo down and work to your needs. It's the only free instruction time you are likely to get.
