Home is where we park it
Sam & I have arrived Moab and checked in at Arch View Park North of Town.  Somebody had to sacrifice and get here to turn the temperature up for you all. ;D ;D ;D

Going to check around at the other parks and see if we can find a Portal replacement for next year.

Are you sending the cool, cloudy weather down here? Or is it gloomy there, too? We're clouding up and looks like it's gonna snow again. Seems like we're having our March weather in April. Has it ever snowed on the Moab Rally????

Wendy

Cooled off a bit here too with 50% chance of rain tomorrow.  The good news is in the mid 60/s wed & Thur the 73 on your arrival day Friday. ;D

Wendy:

A few years ago, we ran into snow going south at Monticello.  Probably 5 to 6 inches.  Was nice but didn't stay long.

We plan to arrive at the Portal on Thursday.  Please make sure everything is dry and warm.  :)

We are having a good rain today but by your arrival day the high is expected to be 75F and 78F on Friday.  Think we will turn the weather responsibilities of to you when you arrive. ;D ;D ;D

As of 12:45 today the Moab area has been blessed with 0.51 inches of rain and the rain continues.  Good news is the rain is forcast to pass and temps will be in the 70/s with partly cloudy skys for your arrival at Moab.

That's a lot of rain for Moab.

Did you have to send it this way? We're under a 'snow and blowing snow' advisory until 9 pm.

Wendy

We had snow and rain just south of Flagstaff this morning, along with a nice tailwind.  Tonight we have gusty winds and occasional rain showers here at Meteor Crater.  Forecast for Chinley tomorrow is partly sunny, showers and 68F.  73F for Wednesday and Thursday with mostly sunny.  I sure hope they're right :)

Can't blame the snow on us we just had rain. ;D  Looks like the mountains got some snow though.

Partly cloudy here now and warming up.

Fitzgeralds ran into snow today in Southern Utah on their way fron LV.  Jerry said that it was no problem since he didn't have to deal with it as Ardra was driving. ;D

The Woods arrived Moab yesterday and Fitzgeralds are due in this afternoon.  Weather is forcast to be 83 on Sat here in Moab.  Total rain here in Moab since we arrived is 0.70 inches.

We'll be arriving Monday afternoon.  Looking forward to seeing everyone!

You'll be glad to know that is is sunny and 65 here in SLC. ;D Forecast for rain turned out to be overly pessimistic.

We are looking at temps in the 70/s till Sat then the 80/s the rain has come and gone.  Maybe there will be lots of flowers out on the trails.

We made it to Moab Tuesday.  As Ron mentioned we had snow on Monday afternoon on I-15.  We had planned on staying at Beaver UT but cancelled that and decided to go over the pass on I-70 all the way to Richfield.  It snowed most of the way, but we lucked out.  The outside temperature never got below about 42 degrees and it was a wet snow.  With the warm asphalt and temperature, it didn't stick.  Yesterday we had wonderful sunshine as we crossed the San Rafael Swell and it was a gorgeous ride with the red cliffs and snow covered mountains all around.  By the way, in Richfield the forsythia, tulips, and daffodils were in bloom.

Looks like that same storm is doing a lot of damage farther east and hope everyone who on their way to Moab stays safe.

Ned and I are at Canyon de Chelly and the weather is absolutely beautiful.  Millers and Weimarts are here with us, Thomas and Johnsons will arrive this afternoon.  We will try to take the canyon tour  tomorrow with a guide and our own vehicles.

Did anyone get a chance to check that Portal's new sites are open, at least the ones that our group will occupy?
