Rachael, my RV service person, was telling me one of the differences between COLEMAN (Airexcel) A/C's and Dometic, Advent Air, and Carrier (And I think most others cause far as i know this is unique to Coleman) is they SUCK, all the others BLOW
By that I mean the fan on the Coleman DRAWS air in through the condenser coils, where others push air out.
So I recently parked in ye old cottonwood forest during cotton season and thus had to clean 'em this morning.
Last time cleaning both the Advent, and the Carriers
Remove the outer cover
Remove the inner cover (Carrier 4 screws Advent air bend metal tabs and cut tape)
Remove fan so you have space to work
Clean and resassemble
But the advent air Fan being made in china and round like a tire blew up. So I replaced it with a Coleman a couple years back.
(First time since in cotton woods)
Today.. Remove outer cover (10 screws and lift off) .. Take air hose and blow the cottonwood seeds away... Re-assemble
Decided to do the coleman as well
4 BOLTS, lift cover off, peal the seads off with the unit running, replace cover and 4 bolth.
Man was that easier. WAY WAY easier.
