Carefree awning model Travel'r help
« on: July 08, 2017, 03:34:05 PM »
I have a Carefre Travel'r awning that the wind caught the other day.  The right side of roller tube
pulled from the cap that is mounted to the motor shaft.  This 3 1/2" cup is only secured to the
roller tube with 2 self tapping screws.  The pressure on the cap split it into several pieces.  This is
not a replacement part but is only sold with the motor assembly.  As I told Carefree when my car starter
quits I don't have to buy a complete motor.

Would anyone have an old broken motor assembly that would sell me the cap.  Anyone buying a
new motor assembly would get a new cap with it.  Would appreciate any help I can get.  I have been
emailing dealers to see if they have one but no answer yet.  I believe the left and right caps are the
same.  Thanks.

Have you contacted your insurance company?

I've had two awnings damaged by wind and AAA covered both of them.
