I have some not entirely pleasant memories of sleeping on top of a converted dining table in a tent trailer so I would like a nice guest bed for my RV.

I don't think it would be used terribly frequently but it would allow me to remodel the living area without losing the guest bed.

Since it would be used infrequently, I wouldn't want an expensive electric lift but that is the only type I have found info on.

Maybe I don't know where to look?

They make manual ones or did anyway, had one in a 1979 Coachman class A.

Likewise my old 1979 Southwind had a pull down.

I had one in my 84 Allegro and hated it so much I removed it. Removing it was a horrible project. I cannot imagine trying to add one. Check RV salvage yards.
