Finishing up my reno and the PO either had the window replaced and they lost the original hardware, or...I don't even know what.

I'd like to make this more secure than just two wires!!  Anyone know what to search for for the locking portion if this hardware?  I've been on the hunt and I can't find anything like it, have no idea what to call this.  Thanks!

What is it supposed to do?  That looks like a typical sliding track window and the thingie in that position would usually be just a stop for the sliding portion.

Can you identify the window brand, e.g. Hehr, SEGI, etc.?

Have you looked online for RV window parts?

The window tilts outward toward the rear.

To me it looks like a mounting plate for some sort of latch.  It's riveted to the frame.  Not sure of the manufacturer of the windows.  The RV itself was built by Gulfstream in Nappanee, IN in 1985.

There are two holes drilled in the actual glass surround part of the window where some other part was removed, and the PO or whoever "fixed it" for them simply threaded some steel wire through the holes in the surround and around the mounting plate and through the holes in it.
