my rv fridge runs on butane but i know now i can use propane are there other options i could use instead of propane for my fridge

Most RV refrigerators will run on propane or 110 volt electricity.

Could you tell us the make and model of the refrigerator?  The label is usually inside the refrigerator.

The short answer is Yes.  "LP gas", which is what you buy anyway, is typically a mixture of butane and propane and a few other similar gases. Warmer climates use a greater percentage of butane but in severe-cold climates LP will be near 100% because it vaporizes better at low temperatures. So, the LP sold in Florida or Arizona probably has a high percentage of butane, but the LP sold in Canada does not.

Please identify the make & model of fridge when asking questions about it, so we can give more accurate answers.
