ONAN 5500 LP
I went to start my generator yesterday for its monthly cycle run, it has been idle for the last month. I checked the oil prior to starting the engine and the level was just above the low indicator on the stick. After running the engine for 2 hours and letting the engine rest about 15 minutes, I checked the oil again and it was right at the full level indicator as it was when I last used it.
This is my first LP powered engine and I have never noticed this issue with gasoline powered engines. Is this normal from the oil expanding due to heat? Is this something I should be concerned with?
