Has anyone been successful at replacing the jackknife couch with 2 individual recliners? Did they set up to high using of the original pedestal? Are there any good alternative ideas that are reasonable in price.    Thank you. 2004 24.5 5th wheel Fleetwood Prowler.

Quite a few people have done so, in various trailers and motorhomes and using various types of recliners. You just have to see what fits in yours. Height is usually not a concern, but depth often is  (recliners typically stick out more) and the space required behind the recliner is often large. "Wall hugger" recliner designs usually work best in an RV.
Take a lot of measurements and then check out your local Lazy Boy and similar stores for sizes and styles that might fit.
