6 Way Trailer Connector
« on: July 27, 2017, 03:47:56 PM »
My Winnebago Sightseer 29R has two trailer plugs. I'm trying to determine what they are for and which to use to connect my towed vehicle lights.

The first is a standard 7 pin socket.   The second is a standard 6 pin socket.   The 7 pin adds a backup light pin.  Most toads use a 6 pin socket.  My setup uses a 7 pin to 6 pin cord, which seems to be very common.

Actually, most toads only need a 4-pin, stop/tail/turn + ground. You should be able to find 4-7 and 4-6 adapters in most auto parts stores.
