Did Direct TV change the sat positions I have a direct tv reciever hooked up to a TracVision R4 dish it worked earlier but now when i turn the dish switch on it just keeps searching any one have any ideas

Well, maybe the earth shifted? I doubt they could move their sats... they were super expensive to get them into orbit and they aren't about to move them, even if they could? LOL, if someone figures out a way to "move" the satellites, some extreme dude would demand a ransom to let them alone.

I have the same problem with direct-tv. I have found out that if you are not using the receiver on a daily basis, your account will be shout down at the first of each month. Then you have to call them to get the account reactivated.
Gets to be a real pain if you don't almost live in your rv.

I don't know about Direct TV but with both Canadian suppliers, Expressvu and Shaw, the reactivation can be carried out over the internet by using the companies Web site and accessing your specific account.
