replacing shower faucet and shower head
« on: August 03, 2017, 06:34:47 AM »
The handle broke on our shower when turning it off. Something snapped and it just kept spinning. We had to cut the hose leading to the shower head and plug up the hose to stop the drip.We are having a hard time finding a replacement. We have a 1998 Coachman Santara. Ay suggestions?

Most RV parts stores carry the cheap plastic faucets.  That is what you likely will have to buy as home faucets are of the wrong style.  As for a new shower head.  One word, Oxygenitics.  You will never regret it.

I installed a normal house faucet in my bathroom and shower.  Fit perfectly.  The only difference I found is the quality.

I much prefer the single handle shower faucet.  Much easier to adjust the blend of hot & cold water.  Additionally I installed a water cutoff on the outlet to the hose with the shower head on on it.  This way I can set the water temperature and turn the water off and on without messing with the water temp setting.

Here is what I installed in my RV:

Our Camco shower head has a full shut off valve on the handle. No dribbling beyond the few seconds it takes to drain the head.
