Video of someone wiring their TV to work while driving
« on: August 14, 2017, 05:35:27 PM »
Hey guys,

Does anyone have a link to a video of someone wiring their TV and VCR to work while driving my 2015 coachman leprechaun class C.   I have two small children that I would like to be able to watch TV while we are on long drives two different camping destinations. Does someone have any tips on how I can do this and preferably a video of someone doing it. Thank you

Get a 12 volt tv or a converter and plug it into the cigarette lighter.
I would like to apologize to anyone I have not yet offended. Please be patient and I will get to you shortly.

Just plug it in to a different recep. The recep it's plugged in to now is interlocked with the ignition switch.

Had a minor fuse blowing event when wiper motor got too hot in a rain storm. Took out CruiseControl ~ TV receptacle & a couple of other odds.  Had a couple of days to wait for repairs so just ran an extension cord  from another receptacle to the TV. Looked sorta like 'Spider Lady" lived there but the entertainment center worked just fine. JM2 cents

Oh, also waiting for a new windshield.  ;D

You can plug the tv to a different outlet, or disable the interlock with the ignition by removing the 12v wire from the back of the existing outlet.

But.... be aware doing so may be unlawful in the various states. You could end up with a ticket if the TV is on while you are driving and spotted by an alert lawman!!.

Alfa38user ~~ You are quite right.  We only used it in the CG.  Just a couple of old Batts.  Sorry
