Cannot figure out how to remove! kickboard??

Hello,

Can anyone assist me with figuring out how to remove the kickboard on my 2005 Travelstar 21SSO so that I can repair or replace my left side slide motor.  Its under the table and benches.  There is a hole used to hand crank the slide if need be but I cant figure out how to remove the board itself. The mechanism to hand crank is also out of alignment so I cant get the handle to seat correctly.
 
its a carpet covered wood panel, the best I can do right now is a diagram.  Thanks for responding.

There has to be some screws somewhere on the carpet.  with the slide in, can you look under the slide from one end with a flashlight to see if you can find them?
 
Just an idea but maybe you could use a strong magnet to locate the screws.If that is what holds it on they can be like looking for the needle in a haystack.May take a lot of poking around to find them.
