Back where our converter is, there is a single electrical outlet to power it. My cable jack is also back there. In many places I need to use a coax amplifier to get tv in the park, which requires electric.

Is there any issue running a splitter before the converter, since there's just the one jack there? What I've been doing is running an extension cord from an outlet on the other side of the rig.

The amp draw of the splitter/amp is minimal and won't overload the outlet.  Just put a multi-tap in the outlet that powers the converter and plug both into it.

The short answer is "NO"

THe longsr answer is I've done it many times

NOTE: one POSSIBLE issue.. the plug on MY converter is a 20 amp plug. Most "Splitters" are only 15 amp outlets if yours is that way it won't work.. I have a home made "Adapter" that handles it... How to make adapter

You need at least 1 foot of 12ga Flexable cord, a 20 amp plug and a 15/20 amp outlet and Surface mount box and Cover plate.. get all of it at any hardware.. Assembly is obvious.. (oh and a cable clamp)

OK will throw a splitter on there then and be done with it.
