Are you able to stack wood blocks? Back in the day, I used to stack 8"x8" wood blocks laid on their side.
 
Carpenters brace porch roofs with 4x4 or 2 2x4s nailed together. The main safety concern is bracing the camper so it doesn't move sideways and fall off the pole.

Sounds like some good advice,  steel drums are nice to have and can usually be had for 20 to 40 bucks each
pallets can usually be found for free but can be a nuisance to get ride of..

 
Thanks all, very good advice from all...
I went with three 1500 max weight saw horses with two stacked 2x4's in front to give a 4in higher cab over, then one 2x4 in the middle. ( keeping the nose higher than the rear)
