From what I found while trying to fix the "E1" code on my dometic thermostat it looks like a ton of other people are having the same frustrating problem. The code is a "lack of communication "problem from stat to control board. After checking connections and doing a hard restart the code remained. I noticed how small the gauge of control wire was installed from the factory. Ive had 30yrs in the hvac industry and I know the lower the voltage "only 12v dc" the more criticle conductors and connections are. So I ran a new 18/3 residential grade wire. ( 18/3 is 18gauge/3conductor wire) after this I have had no further e1 codes. Maybe this can help some else. Good Luck
