I need this forum's advice and wisdom!

I'm new to the Motorhome world. I bought a 37' Damon Intruder, 2005, Ford V-10, less than a month ago.

        Std. Weight -18,433lbs  GVWR - 22,000lbs  GCWR - 26,000lbs

I need to have a vehicle to tow my 24' boat that stays at the beach. My motorhome does not stay at the beach.

My 2500 Avalanche (4380lbs)  is what I use to tow the Boat. My owners manual tells me that this can be towed.

Here is what I need help with.

Does this Motorhome have the capacity to tow the Avalanche?
If it does, how well will the Motorhome pull it?
How much will towing this vehicle affect the drivability of the Motorhome? IE acceleration, braking(I would use axillary brakes), going up hills, turning, gas milage (got 8 and 10mpg on our 1st trip)etc.

Also, since I have never towed anything with a Motorhome , how would this differ from towing a 24' boat or horse trailer with a truck?

The distance from Pelham AL to Port St Joe is around 300-350 miles max. This took around 7hrs with the Motorhome and would most likely be the longest tow with the Avalanche.

Thanks

No, you can only tow the difference between the GCVWR and the GVWR, in your case, 4000 lbs.
