I'm trying to help a friend with his Starcraft Meteorite trailer. He's 81 and having some trouble raising the tent.

I was thinking some sort of power drill system?

Or any other way to improve things?

Let me know if any further info is needed. I'm super new to these tent trailers.

Another 81 year older here !

We bought a used 2003 Coleman Pop up and I couldn't believe how hard it was to crank up.
I would have to stop three times to catch my breath. My wife could only crank it about three turns before quitting.
I asked on the "Folding trailer" forum and some kind gentleman told me how to lubricate all the pulleys and cables and I did it.
It is amazing how easy it is now !
We are guessing that it was never done. My wife can even crank it up.

That might be your friends problem. It was a tedious job until I got going and then it got easy.
Just follow every cable and lubricate every pulley with silicon spray lube
I also lubricated the long gear after the crank with spray on lithium grease.

Actually it is a great way to learn the system too
