I am not a fight fan and I cannot imagine paying $100 to sit at home and watch with stupid idea. It is as dumb as the Dodgers challenging the Lakers to a game of football. I hope the 'fight' lasts about 30 seconds.

The winner will be the one that remembers to box instead of mentally picking out the accessories for his new yacht...  ::)

IF... he can remember he has a yacht.. and where it is.. or was.  :(

Be watching the Storm in Texas.. we have friends there.

Well, I won a few bucks at the local watering hole.
A newbie in the ring, McGregor had little chance. All his fanbois, now are whining that he was cheated by the TKO. Of course they are mostly UFC fans, and have no real idea how Boxing works.
Most UFC fights are over in half the time. as time wore on, Mayweather's advantage grew.

However, other than perhaps his pride, I guess McGregor did OK. Walks away with a nice purse and a few bruises.

That'll tech him to pick a fight with an "old man."

AFAIC professional sports are a complete waste of time.
Nothing but a bunch of overpaid, under performing cry babies.
None of them make a penny off me through attendance or viewership.

I'm with ya, there. They got enough money flying around. They don't need mine.
But sitting at the pub, some guy talking it up, wants to give me easy money, I'm all over it.

For a hundred million, I would fight Floyd Mayweather. Being more or less just a spectacle, more than real sport, they certainly drew the numbers. The server crashed due to high volume. For what it is worth, they didnt get any of my money either.

My take on the whole Spectacle too. It was all about the Money.

I feel the same way. Not to drift the thread, but Deb and I were on the way back to Delaware from Fredericksburg Va. last night. On Rt 50 in Maryland, there were close to 18 police on motorcycles and about 6 police in cars giving an escort to 5 buses of the Bengals going from FedEx Field to BWI. What a waste of taxpayers money.

Are you sure the tax payers paid for the escort and not the team?

That may be true, but it's still a waste. If those 24 or so troopers were actually patrolling the highways in Maryland, maybe they could have stopped some of the idiot drivers that caused the two accidents we saw, not counting the ones that were doing their very best to cause more accidents from their aggressive actions, like running well over 75-80 mph in a 55 mph zone, weaving in and out of traffic.

The whole problem with that idea is that troopers and patrolmen very rarely patrol. Usually they sit somewhere and wait for something to happen. We have school zones in Florida and most of them contain a cop waiting since fines are doubled in a school zone. Same thing for construction zones on highways.

Who is Mayweather and McGregor? Are they on the History Channel?

Or maybe they just want to protect the kids.  :)  In Albuquerque virtually every school zone/crosswalk has a crossing guard, and often there is a cop nearby. They really want to enforce that 15 mph speed limit and minimize any guff a crossing guard might be subject to. They're dead serious about that. I was really happy my kids had such a safe way to get across the street when needed.
