We drive up this route in June of this year with our class C 28' ( no toad). We had no trouble. There was some construction turning the 2 lane highway into a controlled shared single lane but not too many. I think we hit 3? Roads were in good shape. Hopefully the information is still current enough for you your trip. Good Luck!
It's a slow drive with a lot of curves. Plan to take your time. There's a sign as you leave Leggett that RVs over 40 feet are not permitted. Highway 20 from 101 to Fort Bragg is easier.
