Mounting outside TV
« on: August 30, 2017, 02:37:00 PM »
I want to mount a swivel TV bracket to outside shell of RV. Then I can just mount and dismount TV as needed. Any idea what I need to do to mount into fiberglass?

I mounted my swivel TV bracket to the inside wall of a storage bin.
I bought a 12 volt TV wired it up to the 12 volt light right there,  and the whole TV swings in and stores inside the bin.

Glue it on with 3M 5200. It will never move or come off. You might use a couple of screws into the wall just to hold the mount  while the 5200 cures. But once it cures, you would play hell trying to remove it.

Find the (undersized) studs first and mount to that. If not you will look like a fool when the tv and mount falls off and breaks.
