Just an FYI about a wildfire in eastern California. Google Slinkard Fire for the latest updates. Parts of hwy 395 north of Walker and south of Topaz have been closed (are now open but could close again) and hwy 89 through Monitor Pass is also closed. The fire is almost 8000 acres and about 20% contained.
