Hello Team!
  My 30A Travel Trailer Shore Power plug melted on me and I am looking to change out the pull-out cable and install a twist-lock receptacle and use a removable 25ft Shore Power cord.  Unfortunately, I can't find a Twist-lock receptacle that is big enough to cover the existing hole used by the pull-out cord.  How can I retro-fit this product so the outside of my rig still looks good?

We need a bit more information to be of much help.  Year, make and model of camper, please!  Also, how big is the current opening?

You may need some shade tree engineering to accomplish this.  I suspect the pull out cord hole may be too big for a conventional receptacle box and cover.    Places to look include e-trailer.com      Amazon    and E Bay.  A recessed receptacle MAY come closer to fitting.
 
Put on a larger cover plate to cover the existing hole, then cut in the hole for your new receptacle.
 
Marinco makes a retrofit kit specifically for this application.

You may want to check out this different Plug system.    I've seen several twist plugs melt and short out... this looks a lot better.  Called a Smart Plug.

I doubt you will find a twist lock big enough.. May I make a suggestion.

Get a TT-30 plug (2) and socket (1).. PUll the cord out and then oh, about six inches or so ABOVE the ground cut the existing cord  Replace the existing 30 amp plug. and on the cut end of that portion of the cord put the socket

On the length still attached put the other plug.

You now have a SHORT cord on the RV that's easy to shove in and pull out and a longer "Extension" Cord  Electrically same as if you put in the twist lock.

Option 2:

Do as above only cut the cord a bit closer to the RV since the twist locks seem to last longer than the TT-30's  Put a Plug (The rv end) on the RV End and the outlet on the cord on the "Extension" as you normally would.  Just shove the plug with housing into the hole when moving, pull it out to hook up

The Marinco connectors are A: Expensive and B: Water resistant.
 
After having a failed twist lock and a loose connection in the rear of the twist-lock, I want no more connections right there in a wall.  Why add a potential fire or shock hazard?  If your issue is with the small mouse hole, usually found on trailers, simply replace it with a larger locking hatch. 

Your cable can be repaired with a new plug.  Next time you plug in, turn off the breaker and plug it in and out a number of times to "wipe" the contacts.  If the plug is a real loose fit, don't use that receptacle.
