Pulling a large camper with e-250

I have a 1989 E-250 with 5.4L.  I have my eye on a Jayco Eagle trailer with a GVW of 10,500.  The Unloaded weight is 7,775.  I would be pulling it from storage to the campground and back about 5 miles each way on flat land.  Can I safely do this???
 
TOWING IT EMPTY?  So maybe not too much above that alleged 7775 lbs?  I can't find any data on a 1989 E250, but I'd call that marginal at best.  The oldest Ford data I have is for 1999 and the E250 Econoline with 5.4L was rated at 7500 lbs max. You would be at the hairy edge or slightly beyond.
 
IF  I did this,

The camper would be empty.  No pots and pans.  Empty water tanks.  Propane tanks removed.  EMPTY!

The van would also be empty.  No cargo at all.  No passengers.  WD hitch is required!

Drive slow with a trailing escort vehicle.

Better idea - find a friend with a ? ton truck to tow it for you!
 
Thanks for the replies.  I did look in the manual and I think the 7500 lbs max for the van is correct.  Where we camp is a state park so I would be making that pull every time we would go. (About every other weekend) nether the van or the camper would be empty.  I was thinking only going 5 miles max and on flat I could get away with fudging it some but was not sure how much and how safely?  Sounds like I need to ether look for a lighter camper or start shopping for a bigger truck.
