:) Hi.

New to rv ownership. New to the forum.

I do not understand any of the electric stuff.

I have a 1977 holiday rambler rv. Recently purchased.

I really need help figuring out the electric set up.

Anyone out there that can help a newbie?

All my 12 volt and 120 volt stuff works, but I'm having an issue with the coach battery compartment wires.

Do I have a converter, or an inverter?

Is it supposed to  charge my coach battery?

I need a little assistance.  Thanks.

You definitely have a CONverter, but you won't have an inverter unless a previous owner added one. Yes, the converter is normally also a battery charger, but in an RV of 1977 vintage it's probably not much of a charger. On the other hand, it may well have been replaced some time in the last 40 years...

Is this HR a trailer or a motorhome?  Look at the power center (the panel with 120v circuit breakers and 12v fuses) to see if there is a brand name and model number, e.g. Magnetec 6345 or similar. Let us know what you find.
