Norcold Fridge
« on: September 22, 2017, 03:55:07 PM »
I have the 121x series norcold fridge and the fault code "L1" "oP", which means the high temperature limit switch is open, constantly flashes.    Does anyone know where I can purchase the "limit switch"  since norcold will not sell me one since I'm not a dealer.   Thanks

You shouldn't need a new limit switch - it just needs to be reset and the cause of the high temperature determined and fixed. It could be a one-time thing, e.g. running off level, or it could be a serious cooling unit issue that will quickly re-appear.

L1Op can trigger from the main circuit board itself or an add-on "recall box" if yours is one of the older 121x models.

A 1210 service manual should help. See http://bryantrv.com/docs2/docs/ncold1210.pdf

You can also find help in resetting the "recall black box" at ARPRV.com, the folks who sell the improved temperature monitoring gadget called ARP. See https://www.arprv.com/troubleshoot-norcold-recall.php
