I just wanted to give my account of my experience with Camping World of Boise's repair center.

I have new Forest River Gray Wolf 26DBH. It went in for warranty work for the slide out 3 times. Every time I was told the problem was fixed. On the last time I was told that the frame was bent and that they needed instructions from the manufacture on how to repair the unit.

After waiting for 2 months and getting no-where I had to personally call Forest River to get Camping World the instructions they said needed for the repairs. Management at Forest River told Camping World exactly how to fix the frame and authorized all the work.

4 months later and after over 100 phone calls to Camping World asking for updates and constantly being told my repairs would be beginning "soon" I took my phone calls up the management food-chain to finally be told that they were refusing to do the repair work and that it needed to go back to the manufacture.

My coach sat at Camping World for 6 months while they did absolutely nothing. I had to act as the liaison for Camping World repair center to talk to Forest River at every step of the process because they were totally incompetent. Camping World did absolutely nothing for me. They refused to call me back for weeks at a time and repeatedly lied to me about the status of the repair work. Every single person I talked to at Camping World had a different story. If I had not pushed this issue at every step my RV would still be abandoned at Camping World

My RV sat at Camping World for 6 months for a repair that took Forest River 8 days to complete once they got it. Camping World didnt even help arrange transport to the Forest River factory which was 600 miles away.

Just another reason to not shop Camping World. You may want to join the Open Roads forum and tell you're plight there. I bet the only thing you get out of Camping World and Good Sam on there is a message requesting you sent your contact info by PM.

I have found Forest River to be very responsive and timely in supplying parts and info for service at our dealership. Most of the issues are solved on their dealer website requiring very few follow-up phone calls. Quick parts = fast turnaround = happy campers.

Often I hear owners complain of slow communication and repair at other places. We have a staff of 3 experienced service writers, 12 techs (most are specialist such roof replacement, hitch work, certified generator repair, ETC)  12 bays, 2 ladies that work directly with manufacturers to speed up warranty repairs, 6 people in the parts department alone.  6 days a week with Sunday reserved for Church.

Weeks and weeks of your camper not being ready for adventure is just not acceptable! Look for another servicing company.

Just my two cents and 25 years of camping from tent to MH.

Cheers

Unfortunately, yours is an all too common story with Camping World.

They are just horrible, and it seems to be universal in every part of the country.

Glad you eventually got it taken care of.
