I have a standby generator at my home and it needs a new battery. I've made several calls and prices range from $49.00 at Walmart and up to $123.00 at Napa. It is a Group 26R battery and CCA is 540. Should I be concerned with buying the Walmart battery?  Five of the places I called, were $100.00 to $124.00 and one place was $78.00.

Never thought of that. Thanks. I know the one that was $78.00 is a maintenance free battery. I told the guy that's what I wanted and he said most of them come that way.

We sold and installed B&S home units that usually ran on nat gas and they  always had a maintenance free battery.
