Be sure it is a carbon monoxide alarm you really need and not the propane detector alarm. Propane detectors are most often hard wired, are mounted close to the floor and near the stove/kitchen area in most cases.

says right on the face Costar carbon monoxide alarm....was hoping to find a reasonably priced hard wired one....settled for a 10 year sealed battery one with a digital display....Thanks!
